If you wish to restrict employees to submit their Web Punches from some specific locations only, you can use Timelabs Geo Fencing feature to do so. Once employees are mapped to a location, they can submit their punches from that particular location only. Web Punch outside their allowed locations won't be allowed for them.
To enable Geo Location, first of all we need to allow Geo Location permission to Timelabs HR users. Go to Manage User Groups and Edit a HR group and click on ESS Tab to provide Geo Location permission:
Once permission are set, Save the HR group. User within that Group will get relevant permission automatically. Refer this link to add a new HR User Group and HR Users in Timelabs HRMS.
Now Login into ESS portal with HR Login and go to Important Links - Geo Locations.
On next page add a new Geo Location from right side panel. Provide Location Name, Address, Latitude, Longitude and Radius (in meter).
You can also open Google Map directly here from above screen and search for a location.
After providing all above details, Save the location. All the locations saved are shown under the location list. You need to map employees to that location now, so that they can punch only in the specified area.
Click on 'Map Employee' icon shown nearby each location. This will open you below page:
Now here select the employees that you want to map to the selected location, and at last click on 'Map Selected Employee' button. All mapped employees are showing under the 'Mapped' tab:
Once employees are mapped to a location, they can submit their punches successfully only within the radius of allowed/mapped location. If they try to submit punches outside the radius of allowed location, they will face below error in their Mobile App:
