When employee is showing is Attendance module but the same is not visible in Payroll, this means Payroll is not assigned to him. To assign Payroll go to Salary Structure Menu -> Employee Settings:
Here click on 'Assign More Employees' button. Now from next pop-up select Employee Group and then select the employee to assign in that group.
